Projects
Everett, WA 2007-2008
This design/build project involved replacing 2.1 miles of two transmission lines on parallel wood pole H-frame structures. The lines were replaced with a double-circuit line on single steel poles. The transmission lines are located through wetlands associated with Ebey Slough which are periodically inundated due to failed tidal gates. SWP Environmental Services was a member of the design/build team and responsible for support on acquiring federal, state and local permits and preparing the associated supporting documentation; developing the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to comply with the NPDES permit; implementing permit requirements, including environmental monitoring and inspecting responsibilities during construction; and completing restoration requirements. Environmental issues on this project included the presence of Federally-listed Threatened and Endangered fish and birds species and their habitat, as well as sensitive wetland habitat.
